Why I created FirstHomeGTA
I became a Realtor over 10 years ago after leaving a corporate sales job that no longer felt right for me. I wanted more ownership of my time and the chance to do work that felt more meaningful than adding to a corporate bottom line.
While door knocking, I spoke with many younger adults living with their families, as well as many people who had been renting for years. I heard similar concerns from renters who contacted me about properties I was listing for rent. When buying a first home came up, many weren’t sure they were financially ready, didn’t know how to build a down payment, or found the whole process intimidating.
Those conversations stayed with me. As the market got tougher in recent years, those concerns got louder. That’s what ultimately pushed me to create FirstHomeGTA: a hub of resources to help people understand their finances, prepare for homeownership, and learn how the buying process works. My goal is to help you explore your options and feel more confident about buying your first home.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. My hope is that you leave a conversation feeling clearer and more confident, never rushed or judged.
